Braves MVP rankings
Acuña - 1st
Olson - 4th
Riley - 7th
Albies - 15th
Ozuna - 18th
Thats right. The Braves had FIVE players with at least some MVP down votes
The National League East had:
50.2% of MVP votes
66.667% of the Silver Sluggers
The MVP
The World Series
I think it’s time to recognize that it was not a weak division. Rather, a very even one that ate each other alive in the regular season
For those of you who don’t know much about Kelenic,
He was the 6th overall pick in 2018 and was a highly touted prospect.
Imagine a better defensive Eddie Rosario as the floor with potential to be much better.
He is making league minimum and is under team control thru ‘28
#AtlantaBraves
bullpen ranks in the NL as the first half comes to a close
ERA: 1st
FIP: 1st
fWAR: 1st
Side note, their member with the highest ERA (Minter with a 4.91) has an ERA of 1.56 in his last TWENTY appearances.
It’s late 2025, the Braves have won 436 straight regular season games and 3 straight World Series
Fans are still complaining about Acuña’s celebrations and how Olson will never be Freeman
Life is good
@ShortStopBall
In a nutshell, based on what the “expected” distance home runs and distance were on how hard a ball was hit shows a massive drop off. Expected is calculated based on similar hit balls in the past. This evidence shows that even with hitters hitting the ball just as hard, it isn’t
Blaming Minter, who has been one of the best relievers the Braves have ever had in their storied history, when the offense only scored 1 run is just wild to me.
When the 2019 Twins set the record for most HRs in a season, the team with the second most that year, they led by 1 HR
The Braves lead the second place team this year by 58!
This record is different
Matt Olson and Austin Riley are 4 for 50 and 10 for 53, respectively in September
The Braves are 11-4 in that span.
That’s a deep lineup, folks. Not many teams could survive their
#3
and 4 hitters slumping that bad and have that record
Dansby Swanson leads all of MLB with his Fangraphs defensive rating
Can you guess who is second overall?
If you didn’t guess right, that’s okay, most probably won’t.
Travis d’Arnaud
My biggest question this season. Why in the world trade for Sean Freaking Murphy if he is only going to catch half the games?
One of his main selling points is he was catching over 120 games a season
In a nutshell, the Braves are paying 10.5 million for 1 year of Sale, who when healthy is the best strikeout pitcher of all time.
All it cost was a player that got beat out by Orlando Arcia and had no starting role.
The Braves are 1st in the NL in wRC+ (121).
The Dodgers are 2nd at 109. That’s a different of 12 percentage points.
If you were to take 12 percentage points away from the Dodgers, they would be ranked 21st in MLB.
The offensive gap is HUGE
“I guess my point is, Matt Olson leads the league in doubles, has a 123 OPS+, but since AA didn’t sign Freeman we are supposed to pretend like Olson is a bad player?”
You've been a Braves fan almost your entire life
but did you know that the team you love is made up of 26 individual players?
Here are the 26 players that you MUST know:
Just a friendly reminder before playoff games. Announcers are no longer paid by your favorite team if you are watching a national broadcast, even if it’s the same person. This results in their bias shifting away from what you are used to.
Michael Harris is rightly getting a ton of attention for his excellent catch and heads up play.
Can we also take a moment and also appreciate that crazy heads up scoop and throw by Riley?
What an incredible display of defense all-around.

The Braves rotation has 24 straight games with 3 ER or less. That’s their best since at least 1915
2nd in MLB in WAR on the season
1st in MLB in FIP
This is the greatest stretch of Braves starting pitching in your or my lifetime. Enjoy it.
Ever since I was about 10 years old, a bucket list item of mine was to go to an MLB all-star game. I was going go this past year in Atlanta. I still think about that. Makes me a little sad
The Braves’ rotation since May 1st
5th best ERA in MLB
3rd best expected fielding independent pitching (xFIP)
All they needed was a league average offense to win a ton of games.
But, alas.
Whenever you get sad about a Braves loss, just remember they were throwing this squad out there every day 7 years ago
P.S. look at Folty’s performance at that bottom.
I’ve learned not to question a lot of things the Braves do. But, starting Elder and d’Arnaud is a head scratcher.
Murphy has been one of the best in baseball against the curve and 4-seamer. Only player better on the Braves is Acuña. Those are Nola’s most used pitches.
After the All-Star break Contreras had a .294/361/.483 with a .383 BABIP
Murphy had a .261/.363/.449 with a .294 BABIP
Contreras was never going to keep those rate stats up with such a high BABIP.
Braves sold high on Contreras
