ARTISTS CAN ALSO BE VISUALLY IMPAIRED! There are many blind and legally blind artists — blindness is a spectrum, and so is visual impairment.
For me personally, all of my work is extremely blurry to myself, I zoom in 200x in order to see.

If you are not a wheelchair user, it’s best not to make “wheelchair OC’s” just for the aesthetic. It feels performative, and like you care more about looks than function, or personality of the person in the chair. There’s a lot of nuance to disability.

You should not be categorizing Mobility aids in with things like tanks, cars, mech suits, etc.
If you don’t know how to draw them, that’s fine, but don’t make them seem like something they aren’t.

I think it’s perfectly fine to use “modern wheelchairs” in fantasy — but if you want to add fantasy flare to your mobility aids, it does feel very cool and fun!

The obvious answer is to stop using modern wheelchairs. Ideas like a magic floating chairs, a chair with spider legs, an animal/fantasy mount to help get around. Stuff like that.

Disabled adults should be allowed to feel “sexy” or “attractive” without it being seen as a fetish. We should be allowed to draw ourselves in attractive clothes, positions, etc.
