@m3_melody I guess my question was more, what do you conclude from this piece of information? You're linking to it, but not sure if you suggest it means it was a firesale or not?

@biancoresearch Hi Jim. Your episode on Thoughtful Money pretty much tagged the high in yields. Today? Unfortunate player who sold US futures on month end had a humbling 48 hours and puked out of risk. That plus poor positioning into refunding / Bessent. That's all.

@BobEUnlimited Ok, I agree, you're not clickbait. Still, that post was fearmongering. 10bps rally today. Name of the game is to buy low and sell high. If you panic (or can't buy) at 5% yield for 20s, you're going to miss out. ERP is at 0. I'll take my chances.

@BobEUnlimited Or blackout period is partially over and the perma bid from corpo buybacks is back. It's nice to try to see some fundamental reason, but SPX is all marginal buyer vs marginal seller.

@BobEUnlimited I think there's a reluctance to add to risk ahead of the election. Say we get a bad NFP (some are forecasting sub zero) and later this month a good CPI, this stuff will be turbo bid. ERP matters.
