Switch 2 is basically the brightest light on the horizon with the most potential for new life and excitement for gaming in 2025. Xbox is going the way of Sega after Dreamcast and PlayStation's 1st party lineup in the here and now is a disaster.

Very trial by numbers PlayStation State of Play, I wasn't impressed. Top games of the show for me: Onimusha: Way of the Sword Lost Soul Aside Tides of Annihilation Saros (due to the dev) Some of the new stuff had promise, but games like Mindseye looked pretty bad tbh. Yikes.

@RuleTimeSpace I think the most we'll get is a confirmation of RE5 and RE6 native ports. Anything else imo is unlikely.

Crytek has laid off 15% of their staff, put Crysis 4 development on hold and are now investing more into Hunt: Showdown 1896. This reminds me of 2016 when Crytek closed various studios and were not able to pay employees. This studio has a history of financial problems.

Super Tiny Mini Micro Nintendo Partner Showcase Direct being rumored for this month. I wouldn't doubt it, you got a lot of games still coming to Switch 1 and Nintendo has a major event in April for Switch 2, so it would make sense.

@VGamingJunkie They are if you are gaming at 1440p and have a CPU from the last 4 years. Battlemage have a CPU overhead issue where they perform poorly with older CPUs and they also run extremely bad on some newer games like Starfield. Overall they are a lot better than before and are cheap.

Alan Wake 2 has past 2 million sold according to Remedy, and is now getting royalties. The sales seem pretty low, but also not surprising due to the type of game it is, and not having a Steam version or physical version at launch didn't help. See here:

Honestly, the main thing Nintendo needs "up their sleeve" for Switch 2 is millions and millions of stock for people wanting to buy it this year.

@DOOM So Doomguy punches the Mancubus and something triggers them to get electrocuted? I ask because I don't see any power coming from Doomguy, it's all coming from the right side of the screen.

PlayStation State of Play coming tomorrow, 40 minutes of updates on PS5 games. That's all they say on the PS Blog page so this could be 1st party and 3rd party games. These shows can be hit or miss, so we'll see.

I like how this is labeled as "Rumor/Hearsay" lol. Remember, the Switch 2 Play Experience events are from April 4th-6th. So yeah, this is fake stuff. Next.
