I got in the AHS queue at 7:35am and over 33, 000 people were ahead of me. I groaned and told my oldest daughter the number. She said , that's great! I said no, it's a long wait. She said, look at all the people getting immunized.
You're right, kid. You're right.
I know people are wanting to be part of the solution, but people working from the comforts of home, shaming other for not doing the same, is starting to wear on me. Congrats on having a job you can do on the computer and not lose income.
While driving on the Henday, a white RAM started driving beside me. I had to give the guy a wink cause he was super cute and I've been married to him for 20 years.
Hubs - I nearly cut off my finger today.
Me- Do you need stitches?!
H - Nah, but the end will likely fall off.
Me - Do you need a doctor?!!
H- No I taped it up.
His finger is literally taped with electrical tape.
Men.
Early this morning, my mother-in-law took her last breath, at home and surrounded by family. She was always ready for a card game, would happily give her opinion (if you asked for it or not), and loved big. Miss you already.
I’m celebrate 17 years of marriage today. This has been a season of growth for us as a couple. It’s been hard, it’s been good and I’m pretty grateful. ❤️
I've been on Twitter for a lot of years. Know what I love? There are people on here that I've never met but i get to be witness to your life. I see your kids grow. I see your careers grow. I see your times of celebration and times of greaf. We really are in this together
Representation matters. When I think of Joey Moss, I appreciate the demonstration of what inclusion looks like. He wasn't the token disabled kid used for team inspiration. He had a job. He was included. He was treated like one of the team. Belonging is important for everyone.
A few thoughts:
I don't agree with everyone I follow.
I don't like echo chambers.
I'll follow who I want to follow.
You follow who you want to follow.
If my following someone crosses your boundaries, then make the choices that work for you. I'll respect it.
Have a good day.
To those that donate to the London Drugs Christmas gifts for seniors, I work with a couple people that recieved their gifts today and it made them very happy. :)
Today I celebrate 19 years with my man. The day will consist of hammock coffee, Cilantro and Chives, beach time, boat time and Battle of Alberta.
That's a pretty good day.
Well, I just watched the Duncan Keith interview and now I have a crush and convinced we will win everything.
I will not be taking any questions at this time.
I never have a stronger desire to knife a tire than when I see a truck with flags and signs written all over it.
Sorry, did I say that outloud?!
Anyway, bless your heart.
So, I was pulled to the side today by my supervisor and she informed me that a lead position would be available soon. Apparently my name came up as a person they would like to see apply for it. That's nice to hear, but now it's all I'll think about all weekend!
I have worn a mask a lot in the last 4 months. I wear it at work. I wear in all stores or public buildings. I even wear it in my car when driving people I don't live with. No one has ever looked at me weird or made me feel uncomfortable. It's not weird, it's normal.
My Grandpa never talked about the war, but the one story he liked to tell was coming home. He arrived by train on Christmas day, in Brock, Sask. and walked over 10 miles to his farm. He walked in the door and surprised his whole family. They were stuffing the turkey. Lots of love
Being an adult is finally having a chunk of money in a savings account and deciding a new efficient furnace would be the wise use for it.
Being responsible blows.
So, my youngest daughter, who was diagnosed with dyslexia this year, had extra reading help. We found out today that she will be getting one on one, online help, with her reading teacher, 9:30am every weekday morning. Pretty grateful.
