🚧 With the help of the SLC Engineering team, we were able update this section of sidewalk at Cottonwood Park. The path is now a usable ADA sidewalk and will improve tree health by allowing the roots room to grow. 🌳 #SLCCottonwoodPark #SLCParks #SLCEngineering #SLCUrbanForestry

Our Urban Forestry team plants approx 2,000 new trees during trees dormant season! From November to April, SLC temps drop, and we see more rain and snow. These conditions allow for better root establishment and less transplant shock. Learn more at

It was a big year for our Stewardship team! ⭐ They organized over 4,000 volunteer hrs at 70 volunteer events. With volunteers, they collected 2,260 lbs of trash and ensured 32,000 native plants were planted. We can’t thank them enough! Learn more at
