A last shout out to these amazing ladies & their coaches, Emily and Kayla. These girls have been at it since summer! They cheer for football, boys' AND girls' basketball, prepare for competitions, and travel to tournament games on the road. Thanks for ALL you do for others!

A JH thank you to high school girls' varsity coach, Derek Christerson, for inviting our girls to be recognized on senior day. Also, thanks to coaches Frank, McDonough, Christerson, and Kimmey for their time, energy and mentorship. Truly the best in the tri-state!

Tough night on the court, but it's behind us. Nights like this bring our teammates closer, make us more resilient, and boost our motivation for the next match-up. Congratulations coaches and athletes on an outstanding winter season. We'll be back!

The 8th grade Lady Aves basketball 🏀 team won their quarterfinal tournament game against Ridge 45-3. Delilah (15) & Harper (10), along with three players off the bench (Lily, Caroline, and Ella), really gave us the spark we needed to get going today. Two more games to go! 😤

Kosta and Taj combine for 24 as the 8th grade boys' BB team advances to the semifinals with a win over Bridgetown!

The girls kept it close, but just couldn't get over the hump falling in the GMC quarterfinals to the Princeton Vikings. Ella (6), Leah (5), and Maddie (5) led the scoring while Kelsey was strong on the boards (6). Congrats on an amazing season of 13-4!

What a weekend! Wrestlers finish 3rd at GMCs and all four basketball teams advance in the GMC Tournament. Basketball teams pick it back up on Tuesday in their quest for GMC titles.

Sycamore survived a late scare to defeat White Oak 59-45. After trailing throughout, White Oak hit a flurry of 3's to come w/in 6. Sycamore regrouped w/ a late 3 and went 6 of 7 from the line. Chance hit 21 and Jack added 14. Sycamore moves on to face a tough Ridge squad Tuesday.

Congratulations to the Sycamore Wrestling Team on an outstanding season finishing 3rd at the GMC Tournament, one of the best leagues in the city. 13 of 16 wrestlers placed in the top 6, with 7 of them making it to the finals or the consolation finals!

The 8th grade boys' BB team advanced in the GMC Tournament with a win over Hopewell Jr. Heavy scoring by Isaiah (32), Anderson (16), and Luke, Andrew, and Cash (9) led the way for the #2 seeded Aviators. Boys advance to play #10 seed Bridgetown on Tuesday.

Congratulations to the girls' BB team on advancing in the GMC tournament! 🎉 Kelsey's (8) & Leah (8) were a strong force on offense while Ainslee & Ella dropped in 6 apiece! Harper's 6 rebounds kept the Aves on offense! 🏀

The Lady Aves 8th grade basketball team finished their regular season undefeated with the recent win against Ridge. Leaders were Delilah with 20 and Marley with 9. Up next, prepping hard for the GMC tournament next week!

One parent noted: "A lot to be proud of w/ these girls" as the 7th grade gold BB team finished the regular season w/ a victory over Ridge. Madeline helped keep the ball w/ the Aviators (5 boards/6 steals) while Leah also assisted with 5 steals supporting Ella & Kelsey's 11 pts.

Lady Aves 8th grade basketball team took home the win against Creekside 49-15. Coach Christerson says, "This team is pure talent across the board and so much fun to watch- their future at SHS is definitely bright!" 😎 Point leaders were Delilah-14, Marley-9, and Emily 7.

Chance and Will combined for 29 to help the 7th grade gold boys' BB team to victory in its final regular season game. With the 50-24 win, the team wraps up the season 11-4 heading into the GMC Tournament against White Oak on Saturday.

Isaac's J.'s 9 points and Colin I.'s massive 13 rebounds kept the game close, but the 8th grade boys' green team was unable to steal one on the road against Batavia.
