There’s a difference between intrinsic value and extrinsic value regarding options.  Intrinsic value is the tangible worth of an options contract. It represents the built-in profit at a specific point.  It's closely tied to options moneyness, which defines whether a contract is in, at, or out of the money based on the relationship between strike price and underlying asset price.  For call options, intrinsic value exists when the underlying asset price exceeds the strike price, while for put options, it's present when the strike price is higher than the asset price.  Calculating intrinsic value is straightforward:  For calls, subtract the strike price from the current asset price. For puts, do the reverse.  Intrinsic value can't be negative. If there's no intrinsic value, it's considered zero.  All in-the-money contracts have intrinsic value, while at-the-money and out-of-the-money contracts do not.

AT&T’s strategy pivot is working in their favor.  The company pivoted towards fiber internet, selling off its more unprofitable divisions.  But it’s proving to be a smart move.  The company’s subscriber growth beat Wall Street’s expectations, leading to a +6.25% rise in share price.

Stock photos are on the rise again.  Getty Images and Shutterstock announced a merger in early 2025, and both stocks surged over 20% as a result.  The 2 companies say the merger will allow them to invest in more tech to compete with gen AI.

GM has shocked the auto market. It’s consistently outperformed its rivals, and its stock price rose considerably (up 46% in 2024!).  It even outperformed the S&P 500.  Impressive stuff for a company that was once on the verge of bankruptcy.
