Chief Officer Stuart Stevens visited the Museum today & met with some of the volunteers, he enjoyed his visit as did the volunteers & we shared some of the history of the exhibits & some stories surrounding incidents attended by some of the volunteers who came along to meet him.

The slip road is open and so will the museum be this Sunday for the last time this year from 12 to 4pm. No need to go through the roundabout and double back anymore, just take the slip road past the door and into Wallace Place for free parking.

We will be at the Riverside Museum Christmas Market on Saturday 10 to 4 and Sunday 11 to 4 with the TL, Dennis Escape, Austin HrT, Austin Staff Car, Austin Gypsy, Dennis Sabre, Bedford CF and Volvo along with the Vintage Buses and Cars.

This Sunday is the last one in November so the Museum will be open 12 to 4pm. Access only from Wallace Place follow the diversion. We are also having a Christmas Fayre at The Museum on Sunday where you can get some Christmas Gifts or Raffle Tickets.

Yesterday The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service celebrated 200 years of the Fire Service in Scotland. The Celebration started with the re-dedication of James Braidwood's Statue in Parliament Square, Civic reception in the City Chambers and finally a service in St Giles Cathedral.
