A two-day Intergovernmental Fiscal Federalism meeting in #Mogadishu with Finance ministers from #Somalia's FGS & FMS concluded today. Progress made in key discussions on the harmonisation of taxes, project delivery. The @SerpSomalia was organised & facilitated the event.
Today, we concluded the Intergovernmental Fiscal Federalism meeting in #Mogadishu with Finance ministers from #Somalia's FMS. We made progress in our discussions on the harmonisation of taxes, project delivery as well as deepening reforms & enhancing macroeconomic stability.

Today I addressed the fundamental link between social contract, statebuilding and Domestic Revenue Mobilization at the High Level discussion on Building Social Contract & Domestic Revenue Mobilisation in #Somalia today. I welcome the @WorldBank report on this with a focus on #Somali state affordability in terms of service delivery. Our government is working tirelessly to raise more domestic revenue to respond to our citizens public service needs including education and health. Thanks to @SERP_Somalia project for organising this successful event.
