Tonight was my first look at the @SCHShighlights at their new gym for the Dan Cummings Basketball Shootout in what turned out to be an instant classic against Bourbon County. From the tip, it was a slugfest only once Bourbon opened up a decent lead but could not sustain it in the closing minute. Into OT, it stayed a back-and-forth battle, with each team having multiple strong performers. But when the dust settled, Scott County pulled out the 75-73 win. The Cardinals were led by their senior @BenGlenn_12, who caught fire and was huge down the stretch to help lead his team to the big win, finishing with 17pts, 2blks, and 3stls. @Coltonhelton23 added 15pts, 2rebs, and 2stls. @Taeinnacut added 15pts, 4reb, 2asts, and 1blk. @PG3Snip3r added 13pts, 1reb, 5asts, and 2stls. #XiWray 8pts, 10asts, 2rebs, and 4stls. Bourbon was led by their dynamic senior @riqusferguson, who was unstoppable, attacking that rim and the game's leading scorer with 24pts, adding 3rebs, 3asts, and 1stl. Bourbon also had two impressive sophomore blue-collar gems that gave us a glimpse of a bright future for this team. @noahearlywine who finished with 17pts, 6rebs, and 1ast. @MarkPerraut88 added 12pts, 7rebs, 1ast, and 4stls in the tough loss.
