I’ve been trying to articulate this since midnights came out. Her strength was efficient communication. Not these clunky “big” words that never strengthen her point

Well that’s the thing now u can say that but before this she WAS perfect as far as the public was concerned and that’s a valuable thing to have and she doesn’t have that anymore
@sicksadke
It started when people hyped The Lakes up too much. She thought since people liked “is it romantic that all my elegies eulogize me” etc she should make all her music sound like that
@swifferstruggle
Speak Now is such a COMPELLING name it grabs you it’s engaging and interesting I really think it’s perfect and represents that era so well. I hope she keeps it.
Left home at 2 this morning intending to sleep in Mexico City tonight and instead I find myself caring for infants in a small fishing town (?) in Canada that’s too isolated to even have Ubers and am stuck here until Friday fuck my life
@teddy_xcx_
I partly agree with you but I don’t think Chappell is actually making that huge a deal about it, she’s talked about it a couple times but this thread is emphasizing it way more than Chappell does
Thinking about opening night of Eras Tour and how my pants were sitting so low my pubes were showing and moms were giving me dirty looks and I was hoisting them up all night

People in the replies apparently don’t know that there’s such a thing as a teenager that’s just being bratty without it being indicative of any dark family issues
@DaynerysSwift_
I mean that’s what makes a loud crowd which is what any artist wants. And this weekend before this very bridge Taylor challenged the crowd to be the loudest so far. That’s how it’s supposed to be.

Even switching to a new era right in the middle of the re-recording is an example of this. Keeping things fresh and exciting and keeping our attention.
