Long term resident —- Adoptable Barney is in need of a forever home. Please share! Age: 3 years old Good with other dogs with proper introductions or would be a happy solo pal! Not good with cats Good with kids over 10 ❤️ I have the biggest wiggle bum. I get the "tippy tappies" when my people come to see me or when it is food time. ❤️I can be a little dog selective, but do well with proper introductions. ❤️I would do best as an only dog in the home because I really like my people and all the attention, but I could have dog friends. I am super smart and love to work on training and brain games. I am not excessively active, but would appreciate some activity followed by a good ol' snuggle. I'm not super keen on livestock - cattle & horses make me really frustrated. 🤩🤩🤩Did you know? My adoption fee has been sponsored by my caretakers. They want the people who adopt me to invest that money in setting me up for success. Isn't that great? Please press that adopt me button:

Hello, I am Adoptable Blair. I came from a rural pound where I sat for a long time before there was room for me. There are still many more like myself waiting. I am a young girl, maybe a year old best guess. I am very nice! I am great with other dogs! I just learned what a leash was and am crate trained and do well with both. I'm still new, so more to learn but so far I'm a very nice social gal.

Rayon originally came into SCARS’ care in 2021 where she gave birth to 6 beautiful babies (Fabric Litter). She was the best mom and SOOOO loving with people but wasn’t a fan of other cats or dogs. After some very sad news that Rayon needed to come back into care asap - her old foster mom rushed to pick her up from the SCARS’ Morinville centre. We’ve seen heavy cats and matted cats but it broke our hearts and were brought to tears when we saw Rayon’s condition. 💔 Rayon was sooo upset at Morinville with all that was happening and was hissing, growling and lunging at the kennel door. Rayon was brought to her foster home where she took some time to calm down and settle back into a routine. At first she charged hissing and growling but was rubbing on her foster mom’s legs lovingly at the same time; poor thing was so uncomfortable and confused. Rayon received amazing care at Marketplace Animal Hospital where she was given up to date shots, had her mani/pedi done and had her bad mats shaved out to relieve the pain and discomfort. Rayon is on her healing journey with her foster home and has made huge progress in the short amount of time since returning. She’s playing, purring and working on her weight-loss goals. Rayon greets her foster mom every morning with purrs and cuddles. She loves to climb right up on your lap and make herself at home whilst demanding to be pet. ❤️❤️❤️She is a sweet girl and would do amazing as a single cat in her forever home. Anyone able to adopt this adorable girl!

Our shelter received several new animals from one of our Northern Alberta pounds today, and it has been quite a day for our team. To say we are tired is an understatement, but the welfare of our new arrivals is our top priority. Here are some of the animals in need of a loving home: 😩- Three Very Scared Puppies: These little ones are in urgent need of a safe and comforting environment. They are small, timid, and require gentle handling to help them overcome their fear. 🥲- Two Adult Females: These ladies are calm and loving, ready to find a foster home where they can relax and be part of a family. 😿- One Very Wet Kitty: This feline had a bit of an adventure getting to us and could use some warmth and cuddles. Covered in urine, very worn down teeth and tired. We are in need of volunteers and adopters to ensure these animals receive the care and attention they deserve. Here's how you can make a difference: - Volunteering: Whether it's helping with feeding, cleaning, or simply spending time with the animals, your assistance can greatly impact their well-being. Join us for an orientation on Thursday (link is below) - Adopting: Offering a permanent home to one of these animals can change their life and bring joy to yours. Consider opening your heart and home to these deserving creatures. Your support is invaluable to us and the animals. Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering or adopting. Together, we can provide a brighter future for these animals. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
