Hard PhD work gets rewarded: 9 month (de)training, 4 casts, 48 muscle biopsies, 48 x 850 000 methylation sites, 48 x 56 638 RNA expressions, tons of work! Big shout out to @ThomisMartine @debocklab @monique_ramaek @RuudVanThienen Henri & Christophe

@AbigailMackey1 @ThomisMartine @debocklab @monique_ramaek @RuudVanThienen Hi Abigail, we published about the muscle size and function earlier (same study). It was a bit much to put this all in one paper ;-) Effect of the study protocol on muscle strength, power, myofibre size, satellite cells and myonuclei

Interesting research on ageing tackling an enormous number of human muscle methylation sets. Proud we could contribute to this.
Led by Sarah Voisin in my lab, we analyzed 908 human muscle methylation sets, integrated with known mRNA and Proteins and uncovered profound effect on Ageing. See integrative web tool Thanks to many collaborators🙏

Sad to leave the place and the people I have been attached to for the last 10 years. But so excited to start a new adventure @Vlerick as a student in the Master of Innovation & Entrepreneurship
@SBlocquiaux Wish you an excellent start @Vlerick - sad that you leave our research group. Losing a hard working, super organised, warm person, intelligent researcher.... I'm sure you'll translate your many talents in whatever context you'll end up in. Wish you all the best!
