@SouthernBMA @Andrew_Jordan_ Well given that most trusts are still ‘working towards’ the SAS charter implemented in 2014 I wouldn’t hold your breath….

@BBCRadio3 @PetrocTrelawny is The Lark Ascending what a presenter plays when they need to leave the studio for a comfort break? The classical equivalent of a DJ playing Stairway to Heaven?? Much preferred that original arrangement

I’ve heard the same arguments being used to justify every squeeze on staff - including car parking! If you’re dependent on exorbitant parking fees to fund patient care something is seriously wrong
LNC chairs being called in to be told of 'just how serious our financial position is' up and down the country. Sounding pretty system wide. Message to trusts; "if you haven't got the money then you can't have the work". It's a *national* health service, not run on staff subsidy.

@TheRealAlMay @JoannaCoates1 @Anaes_Journal @NAPs_RCoA @RCoANews @JerryPNolan @jas_soar @adk300 @IainMoppett @drrichstrong @emirakur @doctimcook Exactly. It’s a tool to avoid unnecessary CPR whilst waiting for a senior opinion and decision. If that opinion is standing at the head end they can make that decision there and then

@JoannaCoates1 @Anaes_Journal @NAPs_RCoA @RCoANews @JerryPNolan @jas_soar @adk300 @IainMoppett @drrichstrong @emirakur @doctimcook Because anaesthesia is a strange concept where we actually induce many of the aspects of an arrest - especially apnoea. If someone had a cardiac arrest secondary to hypoxia due to a misplaced tube during their hip fracture surgery would you not treat and correct that?

@Andrew_Jordan_ Trusts need to be held to account. Are they signing up for good publicity in SAS week or are they really making a difference for their SAS

@VirtueOfNothing @LeylsTurk Believe me a single employer can still mess up payslips with annoying regularity

@GoCarpediumDoc It’s the awkwardness of never quite knowing how long it should go on for and how many people you should interact with! Some it’s just immediate neighbours, others do a full walkabout of the church
