So far this year... We are less than 1.5 months into the year. We could have built THIRTY EIGHT mental health and rehab facilities to help people and make our streets safer for tourism and bring YOUR COSTS down. Meanwhile I've paid over $19,000 in healthcare premiums for 2.
During Asm. DeMaio's line of questioning, state officials said so far this year California has spent $9.5 Billion providing healthcare to undocumented people, $8.5 Billion which came from the general fund.

@TiffanyFong_ California certified in December, did a thread on it. π
Now that California finally certified election results Friday after 5 weeks, I dove into the 67 page PDF and found some interesting stats between November 2020 and last month's election. Some were really eye popping... π§΅/1

A few months ago the now former CFO of FEMA appeared in "court" clawing back a $146 overpayment. Fast forward a few months she gets fired for making a $59,000,000 "overpayment" to a NYC hotel she didn't attempt to claw back. Literal "penny wise, pound foolish" @matt_vanswol π

The new mayor of SF has partnered with pro-crime, pro-tax Senator Scott Wiener to gaslight residents with a bill to fight against Prop 36 who 70% of voters supported and tax vendors who sell stolen goods instead of stopping crime. More theft. More taxes. Less affordability. π
Please explain how you Mayor Lurie, you ran on a law and order campaign, can turn your back on the promise and define ALL fencing to be a misdemeanor AND only if the fencer is caught 3 times. You and the author of Safe Street Act (which is a misnomer) Scott Wiener are intentionally creating legislation to work out the people's voice when we passed Prop 36. Please also explain how DA Brooke Jenkins will prosecute these misdemeanors as she doesn't now prosecute any misdemeanors. Explain what staffing SFPD will have to walk around and find the fencers when right now the city is short 500-1000 police officers. Currently, DPW is doing the fines for fencers. Shameful.

@AnaKasparian Yea this one is curious to me as well. We also have better (more readable / straight forward) forms for buying a house & refinancing.

@CohenSite Winning the Olympic bid and not having a plan ready that should have already been firing is not "good", Joe. Unless you mean good for a laugh, then maybe. No venue for shooting, climbing or cricket. Softball is moved to Oklahoma. Is planning approval *really* the issue?

@PeteButtigieg .@CommunityNotes as CNN recently reported based on Pew Research X is not right leaning. In fact it is slightly left reflecting the actual US population.

Also as a software engineer, I can assure you that using SS# as a primary (no duplicates) would prevent historical records like name changes due to marriage or other actions. Without knowing the schema the only outrage is assumtion. Both Elon and Bonkor are likely in the wrong.

@VicenteJVera @SJSpotlight 11 organizations for a "volunteer" network but only 2 are funding them? Hmmm...

Sorry Mike, bad take. Trying to use Prop 13 like a scape goat, maybe our cities should be run leaner and waste less money. Property tax stays in the County. The state provides even more money to cities & counties in fact 80% of our $450 billion budget goes to "local assistance". 34% of our budget comes from the Federal government as well. Developer fees & risk need to come down to build affordable housing.
