Post Draft - Bears State of the Union... Just 2 short years ago we sat in Salary Cap hell with aging veterans and a team short on depth and talent. We were also short on draft capital especially in the front of the draft due to the negligence or the prior regime.

We will not be pursuing DeAndre Hopkins if he is pursuing a Long Term, Big Money deal. With his age, recent injury history and declining production we would be interested on an affordable short term deal. I dont think that is what DeAndre is looking for.

It was Draft Wright at 9 and get nothing or trade back a spot and pick up a pick. There was no Trade back in play with Pittsburgh or anyone else that would of netted the assets we needed while still taking one of the guys we were high on. There are plenty more holes to fill.
