Unbeknownst to me, and amidst the same sort of factualness which has marked much of the press coverage in both our states, yesterday I was apparently sworn in as a member of New York’s State Assembly. I will endeavor to fulfill the obligations of this third office accordingly.
It's disturbing there are NYS Assemblymembers who are DSA and have not condemned Hamas. These members are: Assemblymember Jessica Gonzalez-Rojas, Zohran Mamdani, Emily Gallagher, Marcela Mitaynes, Phara Souffrant Forrest, Sarahana Shrestha, Ryan Clancy and Darrin Madison.

This is a significant step backwards toward inequity and the school to prison pipeline. Milwaukee was clear when they removed MPD. I look forward to repealing this (and the other onerous Act 12 policies) as soon as we have the critical mass to do so.
Milwaukee Police will once again be in the halls of MPS schools. It is required under the state’s shared revenue plan passed by lawmakers this summer.
