About 1/4 of the global population harbors asymptomatic, latent tuberculosis, which can become symptomatic. This project will evaluate a novel drug that holds great potential in curtailing transmission of asymptomatic TB.

In the coming decades, Nigeria will shoulder increases in noncommunicable diseases alongside vulnerability to climate-related flooding and drought. Training in geospatial analysis will promote the study of how climate change is impacting the NCD burden.

“Climate change is here, and it kills,” says a new report by the Lancet. In Europe, heat-related deaths have increased by 30.8%, and disease risks have increased as the climate becomes more suitable to various pathogens and vectors.
