Congratulations to the second cohort of IGNITE on their graduation. The program, developed by Chicago Booth with Golub Capital and the Chicago Urban League, offers resources for leaders of nonprofits serving the Black community. It will accept new applications in the fall.

Congratulations to 2017 Edwardson SNVC winner Pie for Providers on its acquisition by Lillio. Chelsea Sprayregen, ’17, says the venture helps childcare providers claim government subsidies. “It is a complex and underserved portion of the market,” she says.

How can you unlock opportunities in Africa? Patient capital and remote coaches are approaches that work, Professor Pradeep Chintagunta and a panel of experts said at the “Propelling Growth and Impact in Africa” event at Chicago Booth’s Rothman campus.

Congratulations to NVC winner FreshX, which won a record-breaking $1 million. “The Edwardson SNVC is where we started,” says co-founder and Tarrson Fellow Clay Curran, ’23. The FreshX team, then named Orca, placed second in the 2023 SNVC. We’re proud!

Can an immersive exhibit foster a change in behavior? Booth students explored that question while touring The Blue Paradox, an immersive exhibit on the impact of plastic pollution in the oceans, discussing how to engage consumers while staying true to the science.
