My big brother John passed away last night. He was retired and living near Tampa. Some of my greatest memories of him was when he took me to Mets games when I was young.
Anyone wants to dispute with me about this, you can stick it. He represented the Mets with dignity and pride and gave 100% all the time. He played with a concussion and a broken bone in his back that eventually caught up with him. David Wright was our Captain. Retire

I heard the
@Mets
are looking for a manager. There’s one out there who has a world of experience. He has won multiple manager of the year awards, former players have the upmost respect for him. He is one of the most brilliant baseball people. His name is Buck Showalter
Today marks the 52 anniversary of the 69 Miracle Mets. The greatest day in Mets history. Thank you Hodges, Seaver, Koosman, Clendenon, Agee, Swoboda, Charles, Cleon, Shamski, Kranepool, Grote, et al

I hope my son in law doesn’t read this, because he is very modest & doesn’t boast. As a member of the FDNY he ran into a burning house today & rescued a dog who was huddled in a bathtub. So proud to call him my hero
My grandson drew this for me at Christmas. On the back he wrote we like to do so many things together that we have in common. 61 year age difference, yet he is my forever buddy. 🧡💙
My daughter, while she was trying to figure out what to get me for Christmas, heard how happy I was when Nimmo re-signed with the Mets she got me this.

A: David Wright played in exactly 160 games in 2005, 2007 and 2008. That makes The Captain the only person to play in 160 (or more) games 3 times in

and where it should go. Not inside the Jackie Robinson Rotunda and not in the middle of the parking lot, but on the plaza near the main entrance to Citi Field. After that, I want to see one for Gil Hodges
Married to my beautiful wife 47 years today. Where did the time go? I was barely 22. She was just shy of 19! Challenging early years with work, college and finances, but we endured. My wife was very young, but she matured me and helped make me the man I am. Forever ❤️ you Babe
Why do some people hate on Jeff McNeil? He busts his ass every day, is a gold glove caliber fielder who excels at every position, is the best contract hitter on the team who sprays the ball all over. You make me scratch my head!
Regarding the Mets is my grandson’s unwavering love for them. On Tuesday to celebrate his birthday all he wanted was a baseball and was delighted to get a foul ball off the bat of his favorite, Pete Alonso
One week since surgery. Although I’ve been taking short and easy walks each day it great to be outside a little longer. Still frustrating at times, but I know I’m getting better. And now to our Mets: LET’s GO!!
I see the oncologist later today, which will most likely determine the next steps. I’m prepared for what may come of it, and feel a level of acceptance to do what is necessary for my future
I can’t believe how many people are down on the Mets and Steve Cohen for not breaking the bank on free agents yet! Can you take a deep breath and relax please.
As per a reliable source, the sale of the Mets could go down as early as next week. It it believed that the Dolan family has put together a package and they are in the mix.
I was listening to MLB radio earlier and they were discussing the new gold standard for starting pitchers at 150 innings. What has happened to this game?!?! Seaver averaged 250 & Bob Gibson 262 over their career & did they have arm trouble?
My son in law who graduated from college with honors. Had many career opportunities, yet chose to join the

& has served with distinction. He is being promoted to lieutenant on Wednesday. Words can not adequately express my gratitude. Well done Lt Mike, I love you.
I hated the Yankees for what they did under George Steinbrenner, but here I am praising Steve Cohen for what he’s doing with the Mets. At times I feel like a hypocrite, but you know what? After all the years of suffering under the Wilpons I feel no guilt.

Tampa Bay Rays have made the playoffs 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2019, 2020, 2021. They have 2 AL Pennants in 2008 & 2020. I hope this year they win it all. An organizational model of success with a modest payroll.

& yes, I am a Mets fan. Thank you
Going to be taking some time off from Twitter (X), hopefully not very long, however, I need to focus on my medical needs. Catch up with you soon my Twitter sisters and brothers!!
A bit of good news today, if you want to call it that. I saw my oncologist and he gave me the OK to have the surgery. I meet with my vascular surgeon next Wednesday to schedule it. As long as my platelets don’t drop, I’m good to go
I decided to stay in this morning reluctantly to watch the game on ESPN and it is one of the worst broadcasts of baseball I have ever seen. What a joke!
Say what you want about Steven Matz, but you can never say anything negative about his character and his dedication to the FDNY, NYPD & all first responders
Matz is due $5.2M this year and it should be noted on his way out of NY just how much time/energy he put into charity, especially when it came to the FDNY.
I didn’t get to watch today’s Mets game because we hosted our twin grand kids first official birthday party and it went marvelously.
So happy for the Mets win, and it was great to have Diaz back in true form! He was so greatly missed.

Martino makes the comment that the Mets are not an iconic franchise such as the Yankees, Dodgers, Red Sox, Cardinals, Giants and Cubs. He loves to get his little digs in and I’ve had it with him.

Last year the Mets won 101 games and were in 1st place for 175 days. I was heartbroken when they lost to Atlanta the final series and then languished in the playoffs. I didn’t expect the Mets to win 101 games this year but at this point I am mortified. How can this be?
I went to the doctor today to review the results of my PET scan. Good news is I will not require a bone marrow biopsy at this stage. Numbers are holding steady. Wish the platelets were higher, but they did not drop at least. Even though I’m nowhere near 100% I feel a great relief
Yesterday we laid my brother (ashes) to rest in upstate NY. The priest spoke eloquently in prayer and I gave the eulogy. After, the family broke bread together in tribute. We held hands, we laughed and we cried. Rest in eternal peace John. A good man and a fervent Mets fan
I just finished my last official duty in the petroleum business after 41 years! Onto a new chapter in my life with much less stress and to take time off when I want to. And with that said,

My family is growing! Our youngest daughter gave birth this morning to twins. A beautiful girl and boy. Everyone is doing well. Thank you Lord for answering our prayers.
For what it’s worth, which is less than the price of a subway token, MLB will reach an agreement with the players union on 2/17. It will be ratified the following day and players will report to spring training 2/21.
On a bright note, this is my grand-nephew Kardon. He was born 4 months premature and weighed only 1.6 lbs. This is his kindergarten picture and he is doing remarkable!
Surgery went well, however Instead of one inguinal hernia the surgeon repaired 2. The wonders of robotic laparoscopic surgery! Walking around pretty well today which is a plus
Thank you to many for your warm wishes! 🫶🏻
You inspire me!
I just wish someone would inspire the Mets
