For a final 2022 recommendation @phyloprog I put forward Halo Effect - Days Of The Lost. Pure 90s melodeath, which makes me happy in my soul.

On my end, the new Electric Callboy and Zeal and Ardour have had a lot of spins this year. Dream Widow and White Ward were also very good... Finally, the new Spite also crshes..
