This is bunk! We hired 14 INCREDIBLE voice actors and a bomb voice director for our game... NO WAY would we ever use AI, it was just too awesome of an experience.
We pledge to never use AI voices for any of our games. Full stop.
Hopefully devs do the same.
SAG-AFTRA has struck a deal with AI startup Narrativ for audio voice replicas in digital advertising that the union asserts sets "a new standard" for ethical use of the technology and also makes it easy for performers to give consent and get paid.
