Year 8 students have been cooking spaghetti bolognese today, in Food Tech.

Mrs Milsom is wearing her 14kg weighted vest to raise funds for Turing House charity Don’t Look Down, a charity set up in memory of Fred Bennett. The charity raises funds for research into kinder cancer treatments for children.

We welcomed the Warwickshire Road Safety Team in as part of their ‘Journey Programme’, to educate our Year 7s on Road Safety. Our Year 7s were incredibly engaged as they learnt about ways to avoid distractions and keeping themselves safe on the roads.

*** Student Success *** Flynn in Year 12 achieved a PB of 7.03 seconds in the men's U20 60m at the London Indoor Games in January. This time qualified him for the England Athletics Indoor Championships 2025 taking place at the EIS Sheffield. #rfsscelebrates

*** Student Success *** Following on from his Personal Best at the Warwickshire Schools Championship, Sam M has been selected to represent the County! He will compete at the prestigious ESAA National Schools Cross Country Championship against the best runners in the Country.

A huge well done to our Inclusion football team, who represented us so fantastically at Rugby Borough FC. Students played well, worked together, and battled hard! We are extremely proud of the ways in which they showcased their football skills, and our school’s core values.

A big well done to our Year 13 Food and Nutrition students, who have excelled in their practical examination.

At Break time today, Year 8 students taught Mr Green some Maths as part of their home learning tasks! Year 8 students were excellent teachers; the same cannot be said for Mr Green’s Maths skills!

Mr Champion demonstrated the process for making pitta bread pizzas with Year 7, as they learned how to use the grill as part of our ‘set for life’ curriculum. Students later had the chance to make their own pizzas, which they did very well!

Last week, HA Club focused on a career and opportunities in engineering, thanks to our own Mr Coleman. This week, we jump from engineering to champion street dancing!

Under 14 Girls Football team through to County Cup Semi Finals! In a rip roaring match, RFSS travelled the short distance to Harris Academy. In a match which showcased all that shines with Women's Football, sport was the winner! Final Score: Harris 1 - RFSS 4.
