Husk has been there throughout the entire series, from episode one, listening to everyone in the hotel. Genuinely keeping track of what each individual has to say when they open up to him at the bar. But we don’t know of anybody who has taken the time to listen to /him/.

From what we know so far, it’s likely his exterior is a way for him to push people away. The one time he shared a vulnerable piece of himself was in regards to him having been an overlord. Even then, what he shared was vague. There is still SO much mystery behind his backstory.
