Great news - Morgan is through his last operation, all grafts have been done (13 in total!) & he is now on his way to recovery. He’s on track to leave hospital in 3 weeks. ♥️💪

I got a lift to the train this morning from my parents. My dad, the driver, has dementia & is a late braker. My mum, the navigator, is ornery, uncooperative & not a morning person.
They insisted.

I’m fascinated by this concept. While my son was coming out of his drug cocktail stupor post coma, he spoke of a tall, strong Viking man in his ICU room for days, watching him kindly & supporting him.

I try to have quiet bdays, but Morg was having none of it. He had a nurse write me a sweet msg on the big board to welcome me in today, then told Everybody!
I had surgeons, nurses, OTs, physios, cleaners, lunch ladies all wishing me a happy bday, all day! ♥️

Update on Morgan - he had extensive grafting from belly and thighs to arms, hands, scalp, back yesterday. He is back in ICU on meds - it took its toll on him. It looks like 6 months in hospital, 2 years in recovery. 🤷♀️🫣
He now has diabetes & nerve damage/1
