I'm genuinely shocked that they'd take down an inoffensive mod such as this and not my Mario Builder 64 mod (Which is essentially a 3D Mario Maker for SM64.) I check my emails every day and I haven't gotten any DMCA or C&D notices from Nintendo yet.

Today I saw an Instagram Reel showcasing Mario Builder 64. People in the comment section didn't say anything positive about it. Or negative, as a matter of fact. The only thing I saw was people making the same "Nintendo is going to stage your death" joke a thousand times over.

They should've designed their new features around classic Minecraft then. That'd make it more coherent in my opinion. Old Minecraft had more emergent gameplay, while new Minecraft feels more like terraria. "Get X and Y doodad from Z structure to unlock the Ã."

If it's a fixed additive value (+.001m per second) then you're screwed either way, no matter if you run at 10m/s, 100m/s, or 0m/s. You'll also get got at the same time no matter what you do. Going 0m/s is only beneficial in accepting your inevitable fate instead of struggling.

I'd honestly continue work on this! This seems to be similar to how Kaze Emanuar designed his original Super Mario 64 Maker project, since you could rotate and scale terrain parts in his. My project is designed around grid-aligned geometry. It's like Minecraft vs Roblox Studio.

It'll definitely function but it's not optimized for N64, so it'll run slow. This hack is intended for emulators. This collab hack allowed all skill levels to enter and I didn't force anyone to have technical knowledge on console level optimization.

Brake checking sucks. If someone is tailgating you, you should immediately assume they are a primitive neanderthal (Unless you're slow in the fast lane, then move!). Brake checking will not teach them a lesson, it'll only enrage them. For your personal safety, don't brake check.

It's a ROM hack
You can run it on a real N64 if you want to (Although playing it on Parallel Launcher is a much better experience)
It uses the magic of flashcart emulation for file transfer

I also played Mario Builder on the yoyogames sandbox as a kid. That's actually what inspired the name of this ROM hack. The title screen music is even a reference to the title screen music in Mario Builder.

Decided to take a small break from SM64/MitM development and try my own take on a Minecraft clone in Roblox; complete with cubic chunks and LOD models. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble addressing the framerate hitches, so I might have to bin this.
