In November 2019 the fantastic eight-stand bus station officially opened and replaced the old, cold and leaky facility on Bacup Road dating back to the 1970s.

Because of the bad weather over this winter period & the general wear & tear, the lighting on the halo has seriously deteriorated.
We are working to bring the lighting back up to its full effect, however with both financial & weather restrictions, this could take several weeks.
We are working on a Love Parks project – the first park we are working on is Edgeside Park.
There will be public consultations so you can have your say on how you think the park could look. Visit our officers at the Boo Theatre in Waterfoot from 3pm – 6pm on Wed 19 Feb.

We've been made aware of an individual throwing nails on Burnley Road causing multiple vehicles to have punctures & screws embedded in tyres. Police attended last night & made an arrest. LCC has swept the road, & our street cleaning team will be checking again tomorrow morning
