Had the awful distinction of staying in ladies hostel that was also a laundry, I went to bed listening to women crying at night , one survivor I still see wandering catatonic through Dublin streets who runs away from you when you try to help her . Shame on us

There is a not enough public transport, or civic amenities to argue for this rent, They will break Dublin, the indefatigable joy of its people and history of creatives is what makes it breathe we don't have a Louvre, A Vatican , A Doges Palais , no affordable city no us.
This is utterly unsustainable and unacceptable

I’m so despairing of the city centre . I have lived and loved it since I was a wee 17 year old living in Henrietta st. I pined for it when I ever lived abroad . Refused to emigrate when it was offered , twice to wealthier warmer climates . I am not sure any more .
