AI has huge potential for good but it also brings with it many opportunities to continue to drive biases, regulation to insure trust and accountability is critical

How governments and companies should advance trusted AI 1) Regulate AI risk, not AI algorithms, 2) Make AI creators and deployers accountable, not immune to liability, 3) Support open AI innovation, not an #AI licensing regime. #TrustedAI

Using the mainframe for what it does best as part of your hybrid cloud strategy. Modernization does not equal migration.

I am not the best person to learn history but we must remember enough to avoid repeating it. Not a fun follow but an important one for us to never forget

How do you get rid of pipeline sprawl? Get the various teams that have implemented them together to standardize on one from @TopoPal at #DOES22 No reason to have multiple pipelines for the same type of application running on the same type of environment

How do you understand the culture of a company of the outside? From Dr Ron Westrum ask them to tell you a story about the company or what book to read to understand the company. What someone says as the first story will probably make it clear #DOES22

At #does22 @TopoPal discussing providing developer experience, no reason to have multiple Source code managers within an organization, no reason to make all teams support their own pipelines. Providing standard tools to simplify and enhance experience

Honored to welcome @POTUS to IBM Poughkeepsie, where we design and manufacture the mainframes that power the global economy and home of IBM's Quantum Computation Center. IBM plans to invest $20B in R&D across the Hudson Valley region over the next 10 years

Watch the replay of the live event from #IBM Poughkeepsie NY discussing chip manufacturing and the value of research and development as well as manufacturing here in the USA. It's great to see the investment IBM continues to make in chip design.

Good discussion about design, doing the right amount at the right time to get feedback. Designing for a long time is not the right answer, but skipping design to just get to it is not right either.

Okay - I promise this isn't a cheap gotcha or me being obtuse: What does "up-front design" mean when all programming is design?🧵
