Stating that the Department of Education simply collects data, sets policies, manages loans, and promotes certain programs while ignoring the actual outcomes and criticisms of these actions is, in itself, presenting an opinion as paints an incomplete picture by not acknowledging the significant debates and issues surrounding the efficacy and impact of these activities.

You talk about the DOE collecting data, setting policies, managing loans, and protecting students, but let's get real here: Education's Down the Drain: Even with all this supposed oversight, student performance has been tanking. NAEP scores are showing us that our 13-year-olds are doing worse in math and reading than they have in years. So much for raising standards. Waste of Taxpayer Money: The DOE's got this amazing talent for spending a boatload of cash without much to show for it. GAO reports and their own Inspector General have slammed them for not even tracking where the money's going or how well it's working. We've tripled spending since the '70s, and what do we have? Stagnation or decline. Student Loan Disaster: They've managed student loans into an absolute mess. Tuition's gone through the roof because schools know there's federal money to tap, leaving students with debts they can't dig out of, even with programs like PSLF which are a nightmare to navigate. Protection, My Ass: They're supposed to shield students from discrimination, but how often does that really happen? We've still got massive gaps in educational outcomes based on race, income, and where you live. The DOE's policies seem more about growing bureaucracy than fixing real issues. Threatening Parents: Here's the kicker - not only are they failing our kids, but they're also going after parents who dare to question this crap. Remember when the DOJ, with the DOE's backing, was ready to label parents who oppose CRT or question common core as domestic terrorists? Parents speaking up at school board meetings were suddenly under FBI scrutiny. That's some Orwellian shit right there. Pushing Ideology Over Education: The DOE has been pushing Critical Race Theory (CRT) and Common Core like it's gospel. CRT in schools has become a battleground, not because parents are against teaching history, but because it's being used to push a divisive narrative. Common Core? Just another one-size-fits-all approach that's made learning cookie-cutter and less effective for many students. So while they're busy managing and promoting, our students are failing, our education system isn't improving, and now they're even attacking those who dare to challenge their methods. It's high time we start questioning if all this management is doing any good or just making our education system worse.
