A rainy day hangout for Jupiter, Pete, and Bob – my father's literary sons, and therefore my own literary brothers. Welcome from all of us. Elizabeth Arthur

You might be interested in the new Three Investigators series - a 26 book series of which the first three books are launching on March 3. Also appropriate for ages 13-14. I'm the daughter of Robert Arthur, the creator of the classic series, and when I conceived of the reboot, home schooled children were high on my list of the imagined audience. My father's books (9-12) have also recently been re-released. You can check them out at

I’m thrilled to announce that the first three books in the new Three Investigators series are now available for pre-sale on Amazon as e-books. The paperbacks and hardcovers will be available starting March 3rd – the day they’re officially published. I’m truly happy that the time has finally arrived when I can share what I’ve had to keep secret for so many years now – i.e. the way in which Steven and I interpreted our mission to reboot my father’s vision, and also how we fulfilled it. The crazy thing is, for all the obvious ways in which the new books do differ from the old ones, there are lots of times, when reading them, that you can completely forget that sixty years have passed since The Secret of Terror Castle was published. The boys are still the boys you’ve always known – just a little older, and a little wiser. Since X has taken against boosting posts which contain links, I'm going to remind you that the names of the books are The Mystery of the Abecedarian Academy, The Mystery of the Brobdingnagian Beast, and The Mystery of the Chimeric Cornucopia. They each have a book page, and there’s also a series page you can link to from the top of the book pages. (You should hit the “Follow” button next to my name on one of the book pages if you want Amazon itself to remind you of the pub date on the day the paperbacks and hardcovers are published.) I have to say that it seems pretty bizarre to me - to put it mildly - that I have to tiptoe around including a link directly connected to the very reason this account exists. After all, I got verified specifically so that more people would have a chance of discovering the new Three Investigators books Steven and I have finally finished. Luckily, I know that people who've followed me for a long time now and who grew up reading the classic Three Investigators series won’t be daunted by a bit of a sinuous road en route to their port of embarkation. My heartfelt thanks to all of you who have waited patiently for this moment. Please help me spread the word about Jupiter, Pete, and Bob’s return by reposting this. My father’s Ghost-to-Ghost Hook-up has a whole new way to operate these days, and I’m betting he would approve!

I'm so glad to hear that the books were a seminal part of your childhood. I'm also glad you signed up for The Salvage Yard - which I happened to notice you had, just this morning. To answer your question, the new books will eventually be available on Amazon. co. uk but because of various relevant copyright laws, they'll need to be published exclusively in the US for a while first. Still, Amazon. com will ship to the UK, even if you don't have an American account. The shipping just costs more!

@BobRusbasan Thanks very much for this information. I had noticed that a big change had occurred late last summer in how many people were seeing my posts, but I had no idea why it was happening. Now I do. It was nice of you to take the time to write.

I've been trying to get in touch with you to let you know that Steven and I have completed 26 new Three Investigators novels, the first three of which will be published on March 3. Please check out my latest post and forward it on to anyone you can think of. The algorithm has recently changed so not even my best followers are seeing my posts anymore. Hope you're well. Glad to see we ended up on the same side.

I'm the daughter of Robert Arthur, the creator of The Three Investigators mystery series for young people, and last June, Hollow Tree Press published a new edition of my father's novels through KDP. You can find the books at I'm a writer in my own right, and I also own the copyright to my father's books and the trademark to the series, so I anticipated no problems with Amazon, but they blocked the publication of the seminal book in the series for almost a month, for reasons that were never disclosed to me. As it turned out afterwards, the reason was almost certainly because Amazon had previously listed a pirated edition of The Secret of Terror Castle, and even now, seven months later, the product page for that pirated edition hasn't been taken down. The story goes on and gets worse – as it turns out, there are a whole lot of pirated and plagiarized "Three Investigators" e-books and paperbacks available through Amazon (too many for me to keep up with) – and I’ll be happy to give you more details if you decide to actually launch a Class Action lawsuit against Amazon. I'm sure I would be only one of many writers who would support you in such an effort.

@TheGingerDrWho Thanks very much for your reply. I am truly mystified at what seems to have happened. I moved up to a verified account because I thought that would ensure my tweets being put in some sort of circulation, but the last couple of months they've been seen by almost no one!

@ScotlandChris1 I'm pretty sure that Amazon will ship the paperbacks to the UK. The shipping will cost more, alas, but otherwise, I think it will work.

Yes, that's right. I've been a writer all my life, but it wasn't until late in 2018 that it occurred to me to conceive and co-write a new Three Investigators series based upon my father's work. My writer-editor husband and I spent the following almost-six years holed up in a house at the end of a private road in New England working on the new books - one for every letter of the English alphabet. Each book is both a self-contained mystery and part of an ongoing plot. We've set up our own press, Hollow Tree Press, which will be publishing the books in groups of three, every three months, until the two-part conclusion on March 3, 2027. You really should sign up for my Substack, where you'll be able to read the first four chapters of each book either shortly before or shortly after it is published. EAA
