It would be good to see @NWAssembly @SouthernAssembl do this for Ireland. Now. 2040. Excellent that both assemblies are highlighting the flaws in NPF Revision but when are County housing and ec ‘plan’ flaws that come from NPf going to start measuring, well, the imbalance?

If 20% want to move home, you’d wonder why all departments & civil servants have assumed none of c1.2m have a need to move back or proactively moved. That capability diaspora bring (large scale housing, infrastructure delivery), additional community benefit of being back home.

First time buyers of newbuilds. Imagine being one of 500,000 living in the bottom 10 eircodes for newbuild first timebuyers, and then, having no one measure delivery Or, knowing in next 10 years, there's not going to be any councillor setting targets that reverse non-delivery

First time buyer Home prices up 10% in X35 year on year. Lack of supply, cash buyers push up prices as all homes up 25% y/y. Councillors & @WaterfordCounci don't even measure home delivery. Or the cash buyers inflating price/reducing ownership. ZERO FTB's of new in Sept.

This is nonsense. Carlow / Mhuine Beag hasn’t had a single First time buyer of a newbuild in 12 Months. Some districts are 1000% more output per person / planner. It’s an inept NPF & poor LA delivery. Councillors and senators don’t even measure housing outputs.. Do that 1st
We’re hearing that judicial review is why we have delays in infra & housing delivering. JR is a constitutional right. It’s an under resourced planning system which is causing delays. I noted that increasingly developers are taking out JR. Glenveagh Developers have 3 active JRs

Electricity can be cheaper over time. It doesn’t always have to be ‘lobbyist led’, upward only like Ireland policy setters in National, regional and local levels set out to make Ireland the highest cost. US & Texas in particularly shift to having high supply and higher RE.

In terms of wages, income, and wealth, Gen Z and Millennials are doing much better than previous generations. Corporate America is not failing the youth. It's only housing that's really broken.

Good. Planners / planning regulators and councillors that don’t even measure homes completed or ownership, nor the 18-44’s nor the link between homes, jobs & births. Bats don’t come before young & kids.
NEW: Councils are set to lose the power to block housing developments for projects with more than 150 new homes. If a council wishes to stop a large housing project, it will now have to refer the decision to the government.
