We should just value them at $1,000 each, but stop production immediately, and they have to be spent in 72 hours. Everyone who has been too rich to bother with pennies has now been left behind. Gives a killer stimulus to everybody who is austere enough to keep a change jar. The gov then organically brings in 99% of all pennies. Thus ends the run of the penny!

Which is tautologically prima facie malicious. The whole reason the people consent to the government is because the is a method of grievance resolution. That’s why congress is elected so often, and those reps are easy to impeach. So they can be accountable. That’s what democracy is. Bureaucracy is not democracy. It’s authoritarian. There is no method of grievance resolution, and it’s clear that was the point.
