@Cardboard_Crack MTG the last few years is what happens when you have MBA's focused on next quarters earnings running the show. Is strip mining the past and overharvesting your whale population healthy for the game long term? No. But clearly a great way spike profits now.

@GavinVerhey They look awesome! I don't even play EDH anymore but will be picking up a set, as they look like a blast to play and should serve as a great MTG entry point for my miniature gaming friends.

@GavinVerhey Basketball for best combination of accessibility, versatility, and time value. Every other sport has a much larger component of standing and watching the game.

@michaeldeninger @ZephyMeg Bingo. Most stores you go into are charging you 2-3× their cost on an item. MTG players are mostly clueless and entitled when it comes to this stuff (same with the complaints about the "rake" in tourneys, this ain't poker)

@BookofHeroesSBB Excited...and a little scared. Not sure my willpower can handle the game being that accessible.

@dangercart "Ignored a hold"...would this be a reference to Smart guarding Curry off ball all night?

@fffreakmtg It was a nightmare in casual games, typically causing games to revolve around it, as it would get cloned/reanimated/blinked. But it was still seemingly casual enough that everyone felt fine playing it in casual games.

@timeburns1 @ThisIsJMichael For sure, but players will adjust to however the game is being called.

@NateDuncanNBA By the standards set in that game it shouldn't have been a foul, not even close. Both teams were consistently getting away with far more contact w/o calls all night. Calling that a foul is saying they were wrong/terrible on 50 other plays.

@MANUTDSIGNSOME1 @FactsandTruth_ @Morse_Code20 @NateDuncanNBA No. Tons of players knock defenders back on drives (looking at you Smart), it is rarely called a foul unless the defender is actually knocked back/down. Smart tried to draw that call instead of play solid D, a high risk play.

@MatthewLNass Thinking about this recently, and suspect he doesn't quite get there, even though he is easily in my top 5 personal favorites. Just really tough to overcome the size/defense gap when compared to the other elites. Best true small ever though.

@mtgaaron @ellieoftheveil My first thought as well. Wort's World still an all-time favorite EDH deck.

@NateDuncanNBA Morris, whoever that is, is the one with a bad take here, sounds like a homer. Reasonable minds can easily disagree on this one, no one is being absurd or losing cred either way.
