Blob morning!
I didn't get the first blob, but as far as I can tell I DID get the first BEE MOVIE on mainnet
Also used:
* mcopy
* tstore
* tload
* blobbasefee
So who's going to perform the last real selfdestruct on Ethereum? We say goodbye tomorrow.
Do you want to etch yourself in history? Go get them:
- The last real selfdestruct.
- The first 4844-blob, mcopy, tstore and tload.
gm!
For the past month or so I've been finishing up ethp2p, a small library for encoding and decoding raw eth p2p messages:
If you're at all interested in rust or building with ethp2p, take a look and let me know what you think!
not attending denver or any travel in coming months, fully heads down. in vim in fact.
in fact I'm stuck, I don't know how to exit
chat please help how do I exit vim
not attending denver or any travel in coming months, fully heads down. this is a very important year. people should not forget that the

reth 1.0.6 is out!
This release contains some bug fixes to op-reth and RPC, as well as various performance improvements.
You can also try the new (experimental) engine API implementation with `--engine.experimental`. This improves engine_forkchoiceUpdated latency by over 100x!!
To celebrate the work put into dencun, I wanted to make sure holesky users could enjoy the fork as soon as possible!
So I wrote a script in hopes I could make the bee movie the first blob on holesky
Blob morning, holesky!
If you've been wondering what I've been working on recently, say hello to reth!
I hope we can help push the state of the art with this work, and can't wait to see what people build on top of it - stay tuned and see you on github :)
Excited to be open-sourcing Reth, an Ethereum execution layer in
@rustlang
🦀
Reth is a new Apache/MIT-licensed full-node implementation of Ethereum by
@paradigm
and the community, focused on contributor-friendliness, modularity, and performance.
With reth node builder, you can now integrate verifiable AI into your wallet, mempool, EVM, and builder stack. Finally, users can negotiate priority fees with the blockchain gods!
Today we have TWO new reth releases: reth alpha.23 and beta.6!
Both beta nodes and alpha nodes MUST update, as this fixes a critical bug which would lead to a corrupt trie state.
We have also introduced discv5 support for beta users, as well as op-reth and metrics improvements.
Any good books or papers on building or securing p2p networks? Any experts to follow? Resources of any difficulty on attacks, security, performance, analysis, etc. would be appreciated
We've been COOKING on AlphaNet!
Come take a look at how we've enabled experimentation on reth without forking the node, and how we plan to push the performance frontier!
Today, we are excited to open source Reth Alphanet.
Reth AlphaNet is an OP Stack-compatible testnet rollup that maximizes Reth performance and enables experimentation of bleeding edge Ethereum Research.
Reth alpha.18 is released!
This includes the mainnet Cancun timestamp, making it mandatory for node operators and validators to upgrade ahead of the March 13th fork.
With this release comes quality-of-life and performance improvements, as well as op-reth Ecotone fork upgrades.
Looking for an apartment in NYC? Want to live in a beautiful 4bed4bath in a great location, and be one of my roommates?
I'm looking for two people to fill the remaining spots in an apartment I recently visited - please DM for price, location, and other details!
We have made great strides in the world of blockchain scaling in the last 10 years.
It’s time to go further.
Reth’s path to 1 gigagas per second, and beyond…where we present our roadmap for scaling Ethereum.
Have you ever wanted to impersonate a CL?
Well now you can!
`cast rpc` configured with a jwt secret allows you to make engine API calls to your EL from the comfort of your terminal!
File support is not implemented yet, might be FUN to IMPLEMENT...
Reth alpha.19 is released!
This release includes increased execution performance over alpha.18, along with other quality of life improvements and numerous bug fixes!

Amazing post on Pin:
This is also amazing:
Cool articles from the tokio blog:
I think understanding Pin and the Poll type really helped me understand how async worked in rust
@dystopiabreaker
I want to write some general material on how to build p2p networks and what current p2p networks look like, how they differ etc. p2p is too scary and brittle to not have technical manuals and a list of common critical errors that designers MUST deal with or think about
@NoahCitron
Probability theory is pretty important in cryptography too! a very basic understanding of (abstract) algebra can get you pretty far though. imo does a great job at directing readers towards intro math when it's necessary
@vex_0x
u don't know the number of times i have been sent a link to a cool repo, and i think:
wow this is cool i should star it!
i click the link
it's already starred
"split the bill" should be a REQUIRED feature in all payment apps. The only reason why I have the venmo app installed is for when we're settling the bill after dinner
new problem: idk what `M` is and I have to dig into the docs to figure out how to navigate quickly through my 15 sessions 💀💀💀 this is like browser tabs all over again
