This is the bass from Heket Punished. I initially had a bass line in midi that I ran through a bunch of diff VSTs and effect chains recording all the while, then cut them up to create this Frankenstein. I also modulate parameters while I'm recording to hopefully find some juice

Delay effect on arpeggio, recorded messing with the timing knob which makes warpy pitching effects. then I reversed it and lead it back into the original arp. Kinda sounds like the arp is getting pulled through a wormhole.. or like dissenting into madness. Fun technique✨🕷️🕸️

just learnt vapour wave was inspired by the sega game Eco the Dolphin which was in-turn inspired by John C. Lilly who took huge amounts of ketamine and lay in a sensory deprivation tank while trying to communicate telepathically with dolphins. isn't our world fascinating?
