1. There was no gift, keeping WA Covid free was a result of Govt decisions and community work - opposed by the Lib/Nats every step of the way.
2. Omicron didn't exist 2 years ago.

Today is a great day. Our first tunnel boring machine, TBM Grace, has completed its journey.
This is the longest rail tunnel ever attempted in WA history - 8km from Forrestfield to Bayswater.

As part of METRONET, not only are we building 18 new stations and 72 kilometres of new rail, we are also making public transport more affordable for more people.

Work has started on filling the missing gap between Cranford Ave & Leach Hwy along Kwinana Fwy.
Once complete the path will be 74 kms long & mean cyclists can ride directly from Perth to Mandurah.

Today we announced not only a 2 zone cap on bus and train fares, BUT also a $24 million upgrade to the SmartRider ticketing system.
From 2023 passengers will no longer need to tag on with a SmartRider- you will be able to choose to pay by credit card, debit card or smartphone.

A contract to install a EV charging system at the Joondalup depot will be awarded in coming months.
