My dad worked a job, while my mom managed us children.
This was ENOUGH to support a family of 4, give us private school education, great nutritious food, built 2 homes, had vacations every year in India, and still have enuf savings. And he wasn't educated.

My brother is doing a business. He bought a plot of land and was erecting a simple shed, when local TMC dadas came and asked for cut money, or no work would be allowed. He even thrashed his manager. Why would any sensible person want to do business in Bengal?

Where do u get the statistic that profit is less than 10%? I am a business owner and I never sell a product or service if margin is less than 30%! Farm land is an asset, not a cost.
Also, just coz a farmer is poor in business, doesn't mean I have to subsidised him.
