, Grace marks were given to students. The Supreme Court judgement that NTA has quoted was in CLAT exam which is an online exam given by 1-2 lac students.

I come from a small town in Uttarakhand. My grandparents shifted to Delhi to support me when I was preparing for PMT in 2011-12. Parents used to visit every two weeks. It takes a village to grow a child.

As we start training to be a doctor, more and more hours are spent in the hospital taking care of patients and doing the mundane ward work.
Overtime we start feeling safe as if it is our home (word resident)

For Middle class, medical and engineering represent hope for a better future.
You take away the sanctity of NEET, middle class has nothing to look forward too.
Medicine is not only for the wealthy and powerful. Every student deserves to be a doctor

NEET UG is the biggest exam in India.
Out of 25 lakh students, 69 scored 720/720 and yet can’t go to AIIMS delhi.
The NTA accepts that it gave grace marks to students without disclosing the details.
And the ministry is mum about it- it needs emergent redressal.

His son is a doctor and runs a clinic in Lajpat Nagar Delhi.
His politics supersedes his fatherhood.
Lost all respect for him.
Story that caught the eye: after Kolkata, now rape charges in an Odisha medical college against a doctor. If hospitals are not safe zones for women , which place will ever be?
What if I told you- you can enjoy your MBBS to the fullest, party hard, go on trips, fall in love, perform ‘average’ in profs and still get a top 100 rank in PG entrance?
Yes you don’t need to suffer 5 yrs to get a PG seat! PG entrance is 6 months prep!
24 x 7 libraries are a must in every medical college.
Classes get over by 5pm
Clinics and wards- no fixed time actually.
We can’t have medical libraries closing at 8pm.
Yeh dekho, aise patients aate hain doctor ki OPD mein.
The kind of shit doctors deal with on a daily basis.
No security in a govt space.
F**k this retarded system

Shame on you

First make sure you regulate resident working hours, safety, hygienic food and rooms and the toxic environment that runs in the hospital before showing the ‘code of conduct’
I don’t get the point of closing the library in the night in medical colleges and hospitals.
After whole day of classes and patient care, finally when the resident gets time to read, the library is shut!
Maybe it’s just for the clerks to sip tea and issue no-dues!
My wife had joined MAMC gynae through NEETPG before taking PGI gynae.

How to crack Nov 22- INICET in 2 months:
3 principles-
1. You need to get a score of 140/200 to get a top 100 rank. So you have a room to get 45q incorrect.
2. Previous year topics form 80% of the paper
3. Revision in last 10 days is the key.

Fear of not getting into PG program. Fear of not getting into DM.
Fear of getting your hospital vandalised. Fear of getting beaten up by patient’s relatives.

Dear ‘stray dog lovers’
You can call me names, insult me of my religion, downgrade by education.
But please don’t let small children be mauled by them.
Parents have kids after a lot of struggle. It’s pathetic to see a rabies case in ward dying a painful death.
I treat cancer on a regular basis.
More children die of the scourge called rabies than childhood cancer due to fake dog lover with no skin in the game.
You all will shit your pants to manage a rabies patient but will bark all day long.
Got a call from a Teleradiology company seeking my interest in telereporting. These are the rates they mentioned:
MRI- ₹ 120/scan
CT- ₹ 100/ scan
At this point, the clinician referring the patient for CT/MRI gets higher commission than the radiologist reporting the scan.
Stray dogs should be culled- plain and simple.
If one is stray dog ‘sympathiser’, they should trap one, vaccinate them, get them neutered and release them again.
Let me narrate the story of my dog bite:

NEET PG postponed to 7th July.
What to do now?
The target exam becomes May INI-CET. Frankly blessing in disguise. Lots of seats in INIs now. No Bond. Good pay!
INI-CET has pet topics. They need to be read in detail.

My thoughts on NExT

Important topics in Medicine for INI-CET May 23
- if you don’t have time for medicine, skip it completely. Focus on 1st and 2nd proff subjects.
- dump main notes now. Move to revision notes.
- please don’t forget to do PYQs before INICET.
Two decades back, Ragging in medical colleges was a norm. Some students lost their lives due to it, others were mentally scarred. Govt brought in strict laws and banned Ragging.
Residency is Ragging 2.0
It’s high time RDAs across India do protests against residency toxicity.
I see many med students using Marrow from 1st yr MBBS. Frankly I don't have a problem with it. With NEXT, it was inevitable.
My 2 cents - Do read textbooks of major subjects simultaneously. MBBS is once in a lifetime opportunity to do that.

Untimely Salary to resident doctors should be a punishable crime with the Govt liable to pay interest on delayed salary.
PGI credits JR salary together after 3 months of joining- later monthly.
States, don’t even pay regular monthly salaries!
To hell with financial planning!
9 years ago, while reading Anatomy, I used to be frustrated thinking about the futility of memorizing structures making stomach bed, Anastomosis around the shoulder/knee, brachial plexus/ lumbar plexus.
It all makes sense now.

Nay-sayers: Radiology has no future

Radiology is and will remain the top choice for PG aspirants. Not only because of the work life balance, but also because of the good pay post MD/SR. No other branch has such good early settlement as radiology

Toxic work culture in medical field needs to be addressed.
It’s saddening to see young lives lost due to pure sadist behaviour of people in power.
Most of the residents are first gen doctors, some the only doctor in their entire family.
MBBS is a middle class’ dream.
Read about Surgery 1st year resident paying seniors ₹30,000- ₹40,000 as part of ‘ragging’ during residency.
Do Junior residents actually pay for senior’s food in MD?
Genuinely asking.
The hatred towards doctors is palpable to me for sometime now.
The reason the general public is silent is because they believe ‘doctors ka toh kaam ilaaz karna, itna ro kyun rhe hain’.
We are crying because we can’t take it anymore. On duty rape -murder is unheard in other jobs
People are now threatening female doctors with r
@pe
and murd€r. What is happening in West Bengal?
Imagine hearing this while working for 48 hours shift in the hospital.
The ‘survival of the fittest’ is the worst argument I’ve heard regarding workplace toxicity.
Why should residents die if they can’t cope up with 36 hours straight duties and shamed for having meals?
Instead of maybe being so defensive, people who are actually in power can try to help. People are dying. And maybe twice or thrice the number are depressed. This post is not about just ‘food’, it’s about the ongoing culture of toxicity and ‘survival of the fittest’
India is producing too many doctors now than required.
And the ratio is going to get better in future.
The salaries of doctors will further reduce especially with the concentration of doctors in the cities.
I find the overemphasis on radiological signs and eponyms during MBBS and MD utterly useless in clinical practice. Takes so much of your mental space and requires so much rote learning.
It’s time we let go of asking such questions in PG entrance and MD exits!
Hey

If the support staff in the hospital is competent and do the work in their job description, half of the work of the resident would be reduced. You can’t expect a 1st yr resident to manage both staff and patients.
Most companies have dedicated staff for the former!
Unlike other pvt establishments in India, Pvt Med colleges have a peculiar phenomenon
Admission fee is huge yet teaching and Clinics are poor
Attndnc & Hostel - strict!
With current NEET cutoffs students entering Pvt colleges are equally good
How is end user okay with this?
Toiling for 1-2 yrs preparing for NEET PG, only to find out that the residency that you wanted to be in is killing you slowly.
We need people to voice their sufferings. Not silence them.
For most people, joining residency is not a matter of choice. We take ‘the best’ of what we get. I had the privilege of getting MAMC OBG, I also had the privilege of being able to pay my way out of it when I found myself clinically depressed there. Not everyone has that.
All those who have gotten good ranks in INI-CET, make sure you get your coaching fees/subscription refunded.
Coaching institutes garner crores of rupees from your ranks.
You deserve all the glory and the money.
Last 10 day revision Strategy for Nov INI-CET 22
1. Focus on 1st 2nd proff > Minors > Majors. INI CET is highly biased towards 1st, 2nd yr
2. Don’t read anything new. Whichever subject is left- leave them. If at all do 5 yr PYQ
3. Don’t waste time on Medicine, Surgery.

Answering the question with another question. Classic straw man fallacy.
I have publically criticised harassment of junior doctors and colleagues by seniors in medical profession.
But that doesn’t make this protest unjustified in anyway.
You are saying we deserve this?
You are proving my point. Medical profession does not like it when its own patriarchy, misogyny & sexual abuse are pointed out.
Ask your women medical colleagues, how often they have faced sexual abuse & harassment from male colleagues.
Also ask your patients the same Q too.
