A record-breaking December for Ripple members! December’s total cooperative generation was the highest *ever*. Over 8,000 MWh generated from both Kirk Hill and Graig Fatha wind farms. That's enough to power over 1.1M households, about the same as powering all the homes in Greater Manchester for a day! People-powered energy at its best.

The UN has designated 2025 the International Year of Cooperatives. When it comes to big-scale energy cooperatives, Ripple members are leading the charge! Throughout this year we’ll be sharing stories about our cooperative projects and our members' own personal sustainability journeys, helping to show everyone just how impactful big energy cooperatives can be.

Wrapping up 2024 with the year's final stats: In November, Ripple members' turbines generated 4,114 MWh of clean energy and almost £60K in energy bill savings. Here’s to more impact in 2025! 💚

Day 11 we’re reminiscing about Kirk Hill’s build. We watched along as 11 Tonnes per blade were lifted into place. Now all 24 blades help generate green energy for its 5,600 owners. Climate action to be proud of.

Big-scale renewables + ordinary people = the UK's single biggest cooperative share raise, ever! Day 10 and we're celebrating Derril Water Solar Park's 10,000 owners. Change is possible when people come together.

Day 9 of our countdown to Christmas we give you: 900 owners of our first ever people-owned wind farm, Graig Fatha - proving people-owned renewables is possible.

On the 8th day of our Christmas countdown we give to you 8 turbines spinning. Kirk Hill is the UK’s biggest people-owned operational wind farm. After just 7 months of generating it’s saved 11,443 tonnes in CO₂ emissions.

On the 7th day of our Christmas countdown, we give you ... Turbine 7! ☃️ ☃️ This year we introduced you to Kirk Hill's turbine 7, named 'Gayle' by the pupils of Cornish Bishop Primary School, the first school in the UK powered by its own wind farm and part of the Kirk Hill Cooperative.
