I run the account

and I have to tell you, it is one of the great honors of my life. When the rest of the world is fighting with each other, through that account I see tens of thousands of people sharing kindness every day with each tweet they share.

The creator of Mad Libs died this week. His friends described him as an average and sparkling dog who loved his wife and Buffalo. He will be deeply coached. He was 782 years old.

You did an amazing job with that interview

and with every lie he told you came back at him calmly and clearly with the facts. I’m grateful for you and your hard work on this.

As a Pastor myself, I wish it was possible for me to apologize for every Pastor who colludes the Kingdom Of God with Caesar’s Empire. You can’t serve both but so many try, and it always ends badly. You can either be faithful or have power but you can rarely do both.

I have been in the church my entire life and I have never once heard a person use the term “bringing in the Calvary” in that context. And I’m a pastor...with a degree and everything.

Every time I share a Fred Rogers quote to my
@MisterRogersSay
account on Twitter, this is what my phone screen looks like about a minute later. People are dying for kindness in this world.

Ted…Steve…How do you people sleep at night? The bill was not changed by even one Democrat from the one that you originally approved. This no vote/fist bump was because you got embarrassed by Manchin and Schumer on climate and you’re making vets pay for it.
I was reading Ezekiel this morning.
The prophet Ezekiel says the sin of Sodom was arrogance, overeating, and a lack of concern for the poor and needy.
That is going to make a lot of us uncomfortable.
Ezekiel 16:49
I know it’s not miraculous like Jesus turning water into wine, but every morning I’m so grateful that we have the means to turn water into coffee. It feels miraculous at times.
I’m so very proud to run little Twitter account that grown so large. 25,000 twitter neighbors who share the kindness of Fred Rogers every day and I am so proud of them. Join us at
@MisterRogersSay
Hello Friends. I just wanted to celebrate with you and thank you all for being a part of this twitter neighborhood. There are 25,000 of us now. I’m so glad to know so many of you and your good and gentle hearts. I think Fred Rogers would say, “I’m proud of you.”
Running the
@MisterRogersSay
Twitter account is one of the greatest joys of my life. There is a lot of love being shared by the people on Twitter today and I love seeing that happening. To all my Twitter followers on
@RickLeeJames
and
@MisterRogersSay
, “I’m Proud Of You.”
“Let’s start children out thinking that Friday the 13th is a fun day...We would celebrate his birthday every time a Friday the 13th came.” Happy birthday King Friday XIII

I knew America would fall one day, all Empires eventually crumble. I expected it to ultimately come from a foreign invader. I totally didn’t expect it to happen so stupidly and willingly from within by people who are joyfully sprinting to make it happen.
Apocalyptic literature is not supposed to terrify you. It is supposed to offer hope to people facing terror. Apocalyptic hope/Gospel hope is anticipated joy, not anticipated terror.
I run the
@MisterRogersSay
Twitter account so I’ve observed how a lot of people misspell Mister Rogers name, adding a “d” making it Mister Rodgers. Fun fact, So many have misspelled it that
#MisterRodgers
is trending right now on Twitter. Totally okay, just kind of a funny thing.

Don’t worry, Fox is still a fake news propaganda factory for the Trump cult. However, they are in it for the money so they will take anyone’s ad for the right price , due to the fact that the network has no morals of any kind.
Wishing a very happy birthday to my friend, François (Officer) Clemmons from Mister Rogers neighborhood -

The biopsy results came in from last weeks surgery. I have been cleared and no further treatment is needed. Just need the old arm to heal up now. Bless the Lord!
Congratulations
@SykesCharlie
on 47 million downloads. That’s incredible. Also, this episode with
@monacharen
is just terrific. Cheers and keep up the great content. I hope you add 47 million more listeners this year.
On today's podcast,
@monacharen
joins me to talk about Dinesh D'Souza's mockery of injured police officers, the battle over vaccines and masks, and whether anyone cares about infrastructure anymore.
@MisterRogersSay
community, all of you who share kindness, encouragement and grace with me and each other daily, I love you. I think Mister Rogers would say, “I’m proud of you.” That’s why I share that quote with you so often, because sure am proud of you too. Thankful for you.
I wish there was a person who was universally respected, with strong moral authority, to speak into a moment like ours. I long for a Fred Rogers type figure to speak into our moment in a way that would give everyone pause to listen and reflect. I just don’t think there is one.
I enjoyed meeting
@davidmweissman
yesterday and recording an upcoming episode of Voices In My Head Podcast. He has quite an amazing story to tell. “From Trump Troll to Peacemaker.” Thanks for your time David.
A very gospel question to ask is "what is good for my neighbor?"
Put a different way, "what does my neighbor need and how can I provide for them?"
Then ask, "who is my neighbor?"
The answer is everyone. Enemies, friends, immigrants, refugees, actual neighbors, other religions

Grandpa is out ranting at the trees in his underwear again. Somebody grab a robe, get him some warm milk, and put him back to bed.
One of the hardest things for many Christians to understand is that many people are leaving the church not because they’ve lost their faith, but so they can preserve it.
“I like to say that I am pro-life from the womb to the tomb.
Every human being is made in the image of God, and any time a life is lost we lose a little glimpse of God in the world.”

My father-in-law just passed away. Thank you for your many prayers the last two days. We await resurrection with hurting but hopeful hearts. Please pray for my wife, our little boy, my mother-in-law, brother-in-law and the family. We lost a good man/husband/dad/grandpa tonight.
Would you pray for me? My arm was operated on over a week ago and the wound has become infected. I’m on antibiotics but they will take some time to kick in. I have to lead music in the morning and I’m finding it very uncomfortable tonight. All will be well, the Lord is King. Thnx

COTN, If you want to find God in matters of church business, look lower. God will be found with the marginalized, the powerless, and pushed down. Any move against them is a move against the Kingdom.

An Important Apology Shows the Path Past Christian Trumpism
The January 6th Insurrection was deeply infused with, and driven by, Christian Nationalism. Every Christian in America should denounce this false religion as Anti-Christ.

As a worship pastor I just want to say, the theology in that hymn is pretty bad. The Bible/Christian faith does not speak of a day when the earth will be no more. It speaks of the world made new. We don’t cling to the cross/execution method, we cling to our Savior.
We have been praying for the infant daughter of a friend. She was in intensive care since Christmas and wasn’t showing any signs of improvement. She had RSV and pneumonia. She is now out of the hospital and has been improving since Sunday evening. Thanks Lord!
I started a twitter account called
@MisterRogersSay
where I quote Fred Rogers daily. People are so hungry for the holy kindness of that man. The account has been gaining an average of 200-300 followers a day. How desperate we are for an atmospheric change in how we communicate.
