I've been playing REC on stream with 2K community members for a few days now and one of them has a not so good build, and he's very new to online gaming but some friends and I have tried to help him so he can be better for 2K24. Today he said this, after he was done playing:

I try to educate the community about this here on this platform because in r/NBA2K we remove 'low quality' posts and one of the reasons is, we know 2K (Mike and others) look at posts, take feedback and very often reply to people, as well. We help them help us better, basically.
Mike Wang says that he takes feedback but not in the verbal assault form

Now it's a good time for me to update this thread from last year -- The system requirements for NBA 2K on PC have been the same since NBA 2K16. And this now includes NBA 2K24. 8 Years of the same. I feel for the PC community😭I don't understand why.

I think 'Superstar' and 'Role Player' doesn't come from the builder. It comes from the person holding the controller. But that's how it is in any game🤷♂️

They got to play REC which usually doesn't happen in recent Community Days. Could be that they just happen to play a 5v5 online mode to test badges/ProPLAY or it could mean that + new REC, yeah.

Because of their shot algo triggering. The calculations happening have that hiccup sometimes. I assume the issue is hard to fix during the year so they fixed it for 24, hopefully.

Indifferent to all of these except for the voting system. Big no. You already know, in general, players will vote everyone bad. If they throw the game within 30 seconds, you think they'll care to vote if you're a good teammate?

They got you tuning in. If they drop the trailer now people will dissect it and lose interest before the game drops by assuming stuff. Also, there's no Mike Wang around to answer questions. Give it a few more weeks👀

The 75K VC option in 2K is $20 USD right? So technically the HOF seems like better value immediately since it is 60K VC in total + xp boost + all other rewards, but if you play a lot and don't mind to earn VC as you go, the Pro pass seems like the 'popular' option for sure.

Keep in mind the difficulty and the mode these people played. Team controlled modes will NOT be played the same or work the same as REC/Park/Pro-AM.

If you find yourself having trouble with greening/timing your shot and you haven't had a look at the shot timing release time on your controller settings, do that.
I promise if you usually have no trouble shooting but you do now, you might just need to change that.

Advice for solo players in 2K24 - If you go 93+ OVR and go to no squads REC, it'll be tough to find people to play with. Game gets stuck in 'finding players' for a long time very often.
Keep your players at 92 OVR max, for a bit!

With 2K23's release, I remember how much panic there was when people were told whites don't go in as often. Shooting was tough for a lot of people for a bit.
Give it another couple of weeks with 2K24 for the green or miss panic to subside.
