Today, officers served a high risk search warrant at a residence in the 7000 block of Bonita Dr. in Highland. The primary focus of a nearly week long investigation for illegal weapons. The search warrant resulted with 7 arrests and the seizure of illegal firearms & ammunition.

We proudly welcome 4 new Police Officers to the Rialto PD family. They graduated on Thursday from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Basic Academy Class 215.
Over 100 car, home and business windows shot out by suspects with BB guns. Over $30k in damage to Rialto residents. Rialto PD dedicated resources to finding these suspects. On Friday 11/15/19 RPD conducted an undercover operation arresting 6 suspects for their crimes.

Guns, drugs and ammo seized after the Rialto PD Narcotics Team and the Inland Valley SWAT Team served a search warrant at a local residence. 4 crooks were arrested and taken to jail.

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the passing of Sgt. Darrell Lee after a fight with a combative subject. 50 years later... we still remember. Thank you for your service Sgt. Lee and all those brave men and women who have given their lives in the line of duty.

On Friday, July 24, 1970, Rialto Police Sergeant Darrell Keith Lee, was killed in the line of duty. Sergeant Lee’s sacrifice in the line of duty will forever be remembered by law enforcement, our law enforcement family, his family and the Rialto community he served.

Rialto Police K9 Bunker has retired after 4 years of service & dedication to the City of Rialto & to his handler, Officer Stordahl. During Bunker’s service he had 150 searches, 140 lbs of various narcotics located & seized 17 suspects who surrendered. Happy retirement Bunker!

Every year in May, the agencies within our county come together to honor all of those who have lost their lives in the line of duty. While time may pass, Rialto Police Department will never forget their officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
RPD is investigating a shooting at Sycamore and Randall. 1 juvie was found deceased and a 2nd juvie was shot and is expected to survive. An uninvolved female was also shot and is expected to survive. Incident appears isolated and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
Currently two major investigations taking place in the city. Please avoid the areas of Foothill Blvd//Maple Ave. as well as Willow Ave//Shamrock St. for the time being. Thank you!
