@SpiekerStats I witnessed a case of this and thought the speaker handled it very well. Unless it's truly disruptive (e.g. speaker unable to continue talk) I think it's best to let them handle it. Coming to the speaker's rescue undermines their authority.

@Michael_Harhay This is very true. I do not notice a declined review. One thing that really gets my attention is repeatedly requesting extensions and then never completing the review. This is an incredible disservice to the authors.
