@FreelanceWebDev If @noonan_malcolm could enact Regulation 50 of the 2011 Regulations (SI 477 of 2011), this would stop overnight. Currently Reg 49 is enacted which makes it illegal to spread, but Reg 50 would make it illegal to sell.

As @Groundwork9 constantly stress - if you told farmers grazing rights would be taken away in 50 years, there would be uproar, but we have no problem letting rhodo stop grazing in that same amount of time
As rhododendron spreads through our mountainsides we should be alarmed and not fooled by its beautiful flowers. An excellent piece by Ella McSweeney in the Irish Times Weekend on the destruction it brings to biodiversity in our countryside
