A parent asked me how on earth we had managed to stay open. With staff agreeing to come in on their days off, support staff offering to lead classes, as well as vital business and teaching support from the Active Learning Trust. That's how.

Year 1 were shocked by the destruction caused in their classroom by the Gruffalo visiting while they were outside at lunchtime. The children are now writing instructions on how to set a trap so it doesn't happen again!

@ActiveLearningT
Our hotel rated Reydon the most well-behaved school group they've ever had. Also, several members of the public have approached us on our various visits and commented how lovely our children are.

It's never a dull day for a headteacher - just helped to usher a squirrel out of the Year 6 classroom! It did create a lot of excitement amongst the children though.

Reydon Primary School are sad to hear of the death of Queen Elizabeth. Our thoughts are with her family. We will make sure that her memory and legacy is part of our learning story. We will hold a collective moment of silence tomorrow as a school.
Our Eco Committee enjoyed planting their very own 'Tree Town' at the local Rec on Friday, supported by our wonderful community. So proud of the children's efforts to improve the environment for themselves and others.
@ActiveLearningT
Thank you to all the parents and carers for joining us on our 'Dress as a Scientist' day. The children thoroughly enjoyed making their rockets and, despite the very windy conditions, had great fun at the launch!
We've had a great time today skipping to get fit with
@skip2bfit
. All the children will have a rope to practise at school for the two minute challenge each week. Who will beat Miss Freeman's score?
@ActiveLearningT
Well done Reydon Primary Year 4 football teams; the A team came first in the A league and the B team came second in the B league. A special mention to Lily for getting the overall sportsmanship award for the A league. Thank you Red Oak for hosting.

The whole school took part in a two minute silence at 11am as a moment of reflection. At the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month, we will remember them.
We are very proud of our certificate which arrived today. Outstanding Service to the Community in Suffolk during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
@ActiveLearningT
For the past 2 weeks year 4 have been carrying out their swimming lessons whilst wearing their clothes. This is to help them develop skills that could save their life if they ever find themselves in trouble in the water.
A brilliant Anglo Saxon day with Year 4, the highlights being making wattle and daub and eating authentic food from the era, anyone for pickled herring or oak smoked trout?

Children
@ReydonPrimary
have been brilliant since their return to school. They are thriving and we are so grateful to our parents for their support during lockdown. They certainly did not lack 'discipline and order'!
@schamberlainCEO
@ActiveLearningT
A generation of children have lacked 'discipline and order' during lockdown, the Education Secretary has warned, as he launches a behaviour crackdown and backs the banning of mobile phones in schools.
@NickFerrariLBC
asks: is the Education Secretary right?
Excellent CPD in P.E. today for staff and children. Thank you to Mr Lee from
@OakRed230
and Mr Caplin, working collaboratively with our Active Learning Trust Schools.

Thank you! An enormous thank you to the Reydon Trust who sent a £10 book voucher to each child, as well as a generous donation to support the school. We are so grateful for their help at this difficult time.
