Watch out for the marvelous properties of chips bags! Whoever can watch TM Wissen tonight on ServusTV (or later in their Mediathek). Thanks to the people from Bilderfest - it was fun and exciting producing the video clip with you! @ERC_Research #coolchips @unibt

Great collaborative work with the Karg group. We fabricated and analysed anisotropic polymer beads with excellent techniques including DDLS, FFF, and MDSC. Many thanks to Dominik and all contributors - now published in Soft Matter

Quite amazing how anisotropy can influence the thermal transport of particulate materials. Here we used FEM to understand its influence. Great work by Flora and Timo! @BayBatt_UBT

@Tom_Clarke @peakaustria @ERC_Research The temperature under the coated umbrella was very close to the open-air temperature. The data is shown in Figure 4g.

@Tom_Clarke @peakaustria @ERC_Research Cooling takes place day and night as long as the sky is clear. Clouds and moisture deteriorate the radiative cooling effect. The pouch indeed increases the emissivity for radiative heat losses, whereas the chips bag serves as a simple and cheap mirror.
