Genuinely believe this may be because of queer creators making horror content in general. Like come on, why wouldn't the series that constantly ask what it means to be human derive that from the queer/trans experience???

I love Rain World for that exact reason, it’s truly about how life is suffering but every achievement you get in each campaign is an accomplishment and shows that it’s all worth it in the end, and that’s genuinely such a great message to have in a game like this
I always get sad when people chalk rainworld up to this dour "Life sucks, and then die" type game because it just really isnt that... It says a lot about the ways you suffer for just existing but tries just as hard to plant that seed of understanding that its worth it
