@JoeRod94900216 @Steverigsl @OfSons90168 @seanfeucht @Paula_White Uh, this is me, bothering to try. Do you guys ever hear how bitter and single-minded you sound? Doesn't help your cause

Do you think that anyone's pastor, rabbi, or any type of spiritual advisor, stops them from sinning? No one else is responsible for that. You can't hold her accountable for his actions. Good grief. The disciples sinned while Jesus was walking with them. You could call Him their spiritual advisor. And now your comments about Donald Trump seem to tell me that no matter what he does or doesn't do, says or doesn't say, has done or hasn't done, your mind is made up about him. That makes sense.

@Steverigsl @JoeRod94900216 @OfSons90168 @seanfeucht @Paula_White Right again, I see. And weirdly, there seem to be ties between Moonie leadership and other Republicans. Again, I think there's more to that story than meets the eye but still, definitely disturbing on the surface.

Just googled that and you are right! however, it says that she was talking about the widow of the Moonie leader. My gut is that there is more to that story but I'm not in a position to say definitively and I can understand your concern about that from a Christian perspective. Having said that, what is it that you fear she might do or not do as the director of the White House Faith Office?

That is a very old story, if I'm not mistaken, and if I'm also not mistaken, is not true (that she had an affair with Hinn) but in all honestly, I don't have the receipts on that. I do know that Christian media smeared her more than once after she divorced her prosperity-gospel preaching husband...back in those days, it was always the woman's fault, no matter what. And to that, I can testify having worked in a large Christian ministry.

@JoeRod94900216 @Steverigsl @OfSons90168 @seanfeucht @Paula_White That would be shocking. I'd have to see and hear that for myself to believe it.

How do you put quotes around journalist here? You don't know me or my credentials. In fact, it is because I am a journalist, and have a calling as a journalist, that I ask questions, don't jump to conclusions or blow things out of proportion, and try to set the record straight. And in this instance, I think you're reaching - even though this conversation in the clip is definitely awkward and definitely becomes inappropriate - but that wasnt her, it was him. That's all I'm saying. It certainly doesn't qualify as "grooming." Good grief. Please calm down and make your case a different way.

Unless she said that before this recorded bit, what I heard was her apparently responding to whatever he was saying, with "we're just getting started" (reference to being newleyweds) and then she acknowledged there were children there - clearly wanted to change the subject. That's how it sounded to me.

@ninaturner @bungarsargon So did a lot of other people. Little tired of hearing about it as if no other people contributed to the founding of this nation. We are ALL Americans.

She obviously felt put on the spot with what her husband said on the paltform. I’m not sure what I would have said in that situation. Yes, she said the word “sex” and then said “we’re just getting started” (newlyweds at the time) and then HE went on to make dumb and inappropriate comments. This is what you’re hanging your hat on? Something that mainly her husband said 10 years ago?

Yeah, that's unacceptable and unfortunate but that is Jonathan Cain saying that...as a brand new Christian, newly married to Paula, and basically having no real clue about boundaries here. It can be awkward with him on the platform. I've seen it myself. He doesn't have years of Christian teaching and culture under his belt. Having said that, this clip doesn't show what Paula says after Jon says that...I'm sure she was pretty mortified, whether or not she showed it in public. BUT - this also has nothing to do with her leading the Faith Office at the White House. She's not going to be advocating for any of this. I do know her rock 'n roll husband has come a long way since that clip but again, he's never going to quite fit the Christian man mold. Does that disqualify her? What I can say to that is, her former pastor/preacher husband who did fit the mold (outwardly) was a moral disaster who finally left her no choice but to divorce. And now I will add to that, divorce does not qualify someone from being a Christian or from being used by God, even in leadership. Go ahead and hit me with NT Scripture about leadership, and I'll then hit you back with NT Scripture by the same writer about speaking in tongues 😅 I'm sure many objections can be brought in this situation but I can also assure you the Paula White has done far more good than harm in the church and that is not something I can say about many church leaders whom I have seen, known, and even reported on for 40+ years. I leave that judgment now in God's Hands, and I do also trust our President's judgment and discernment as a leader for having her at his family's side as a spiritual advisor for several decades - since his children were little! Again, I would be very careful about judging God's calling and appointments in her life. She has had opportunities to influence for Christ and His Kingdom at levels and in places that many pastors and church leaders could only dream of.

@Steverigsl @JoeRod94900216 @OfSons90168 @seanfeucht @Paula_White Show me. And if so, I’m guessing it has been in the context of testimony? She was unwed and pregnant as a young woman. Is that what you’re referencing?
